WALNUT 11/12/21
The ring-
This piece of walnut wood was taken out of my university's scrap box and recycled into my ring designs.
The varnish-
The varnish is made up of 1/3 beeswax sourced from a local Aberdeen company and 2/3 rapeseed oil that is also produced and bottled in Aberdeenshire.

The packaging-
The packaging is made from eco-friendly produce and is 100% recyclable (including the tape!).

The making process-
A total of 1 hour and 26 minutes and to hand work
A total of 1 hour and 12 minutes was used of electricity (Dremel tool).
135 Watts x 1.12 Hours = 151.2 KW
151.2 KW / 1000 = 0.1512 KWh.
Total = 0.151 Kilowatts per hour.
Carbon footprint-
The journey this piece took to reach the UK is unknown to me.
Using a carbon calculator, I am able to report the known CO2 impact while in my care.
